David G. Dietze, JD, CFA, CFP
David G. Dietze is Chief Investment Strategist of Dietze Wealth Management Group. He was formerly Managing Principal, Senior Portfolio Strategist of Peapack Private Wealth Management, the wealth management division of Peapack-Gladstone Bank, with over $10 billion in assets under management. David founded in 1993 Point View Wealth Management (PVWM), an SEC registered investment adviser, which became part of Peapack-Gladstone Bank in 2019. PVWM was named one of the country's top wealth managers by Bloomberg Wealth Manager magazine in 2016, ranked among the top 100 independent advisors by CNBC in 2014, and was a 2015 Five Star Wealth Manager. David specializes in helping his clients realize their financial dreams, including retirement income strategies, portfolio investment advice, and tax savvy financial planning.
David is a Chartered Financial Analyst and a retired Certified Financial Planner. David is a much sought out resource for the media, including Bloomberg, CNBC, Fox, The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, LA Times, Forbes, U. S. News and World Report, Investor's Business Daily, and The Star-Ledger.
David graduated Phi Beta Kappa, magna cum laude, and with Honors in his major, Economics, from Dartmouth College. There, he was a Rufus Choate Scholar and received five citations in English, Latin, and Greek. He studied Spanish in Granada, Spain. He pursued graduate studies at Yale University in Classical Studies and Political Philosophy, earning Honors work. He received his law degree from The University of Chicago Law School. He is an attorney at law and member of the Bars of New Jersey, New York, and the District of Columbia. He has practiced corporate and finance law with New York based White & Case and Washington, D.C.'s Crowell & Moring.
David is actively involved in local community and charitable activities. He has served as President of Summit’s Board of Education, President of the Dartmouth Club of Suburban New Jersey, President and Paul Harris Fellow of the Rotary Club of Summit/New Providence, President of the Summit Tennis Club, President of the Downtown Club, Trustee and Planning and Budget Chair of Overlook Hospital Foundation, Vice President of the Summit Foundation and Chair of its investment committee, Trustee, Treasurer, and Chair of the investment committee of the Summit Area YMCA, Co-President and Head Agent for his Dartmouth College Class (1978) and member of its 45th year reunion gift committee, member of the reunion and gift committee for his University of Chicago Law School Class, Chair of both the Service Committee of Dartmouth’s Alumni Council and its Enrollment and Admissions Committee, Advisory Committee member of Dartmouth’s Friends of Football, member Dartmouth Communities Executive Council, Co-Chair of Dartmouth’s 1769 Society, member Dartmouth College Fund Committee, District Enrollment Director and active interviewer for Dartmouth Admissions, mentor for Dartmouth scholar/athletes, Board Member Fellowship Village Foundation, Co-Chair of the Stewardship Campaign, Finance Chair and Vestry Member of Summit’s Calvary Church, Vice Chair of the Investment Trust of the Episcopal Diocese of Newark, Chair of the Suburban Chambers of Commerce, Board Member of Summit Helping Its People (SHIP) and on the Golf Committee of the Canoe Brook Country Club and a member of the Summit Elks Club and the Backgammon Committee of the University Club (NYC).
David was named to the Inaugural Hall of Fame of his alma mater, Mountain Lakes High School, for his community, charitable, and professional accomplishments. He was the Suburban Chambers of Commerce’s Distinguished Citizen of the Year in 2017. He was a Scouting America Good Scout Awardee and recognized as a Distinguished Citizen as an exemplary role model for the youth of our community, a recipient of the Scouting America North Star Award and Winthrop Rockefeller Award, and serves on the Scouting America Revenue Committee and Chair of the Investment Advisory Committee. David enjoys reading, travel, golf, and skiing. He resides in Summit, New Jersey with his wife, while their daughter is pursuing an MBA at Columbia and their son, a graduate of the University of Colorado at Boulder, is pursuing a finance career.
